As we mark the 11 year anniversary of the war in Ukraine, and 3 years of full invasion, I find myself reflecting deeply on the journey that has reshaped my life. In the midst of chaos and uncertainty, I’ve learned that cultivating self-awareness and resilience isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity. The war not only changed the fabric of the world, but also stirred something profound within me, urging a radical transformation in how I live, and relate to the world.
When the war in Ukraine began, my world turned upside down. My family was forced to flee the country, and I was left grappling with a cocktail of fear, anxiety, and profound distress. In those early days, every moment felt like an uncertain step into the unknown. I remember the sleepless nights, the overwhelming sense of loss, and the haunting realization that everything I once knew was crumbling.
At the same time, I was living a life that no longer served me. My business—once a beacon of success—had become a gilded cage. It brought no joy, and I felt trapped in a routine that was a relic of an old paradigm. The idea of betting on myself, of walking away from the familiar, was terrifying. But when I weighed that against the emptiness and despair of continuing down a path that drained my soul, I knew I had to choose change.
Choosing to Bet on Myself
It was in the midst of this turmoil that I made one of the hardest decisions of my life: I sold my business and chose to pursue my long-held passion for serving others. I felt that if I continued to hold on to something that no longer resonated with my true self, I was only deepening my own sense of loss. So, despite the fear and uncertainty, I decided to embrace a new beginning—one that aligned with my heart and the collective need for healing.
I immersed myself in learning and growth. Now 3 years later, I guide others to embrace their own capacities for growth and transformation, discovering the transformative power of anchoring in the heart. I joined a non-profit organization dedicated to funding meditation research—a cause that touched me deeply. I left behind a beautiful apartment—a symbol of comfort and stability—to chase the call of the open road. In doing so, I broke free from old generational beliefs that kept me from embracing my joy and speaking my truth. These steps were more than just professional moves; they were acts of courage and self-love, affirmations that I was worthy of a life filled with purpose and connection. In the process, I discovered that true fulfillment comes when you live authentically, even when it means venturing into the unknown.
Finding My Anchor in the Heart
During those turbulent times, I discovered that the one thing that kept me from falling into despair was the practice of returning to my heart. When chaos erupted around me, I found solace in heart-focused breathing—feeling the steady rhythm of my pulse and the quiet strength that resided within. This simple act reminded me that no matter how turbulent life might be, there is always a place of calm and clarity inside us.
Every deep breath became a reminder that I was alive, that I had the power to choose hope over fear, peace over hate. I learned that by anchoring in my heart, I could find the resilience to navigate through life’s most challenging moments. This practice not only grounded me but also ignited a spark of transformation that spread to every aspect of my life.
A Leap Toward a New Paradigm
Today, as I pack my bags for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Basel—where 16,000 people will gather to transform their lives—I carry with me the lessons learned from both the heartbreak of war and the courage to change. I’m stepping into this new chapter with a heart full of hope and a spirit unafraid of change. I no longer see change as something to fear; instead, I embrace it as the catalyst for growth and evolution.
I’ve come to understand that our struggles are not a sign of weakness but a doorway to becoming more aligned with who we truly are. Each challenge I’ve faced has taught me to be more self-aware, resilient, and connected to my inner truth. I’ve learned that when we dare to let go of what no longer serves us, we create space for a life of deep fulfillment and purpose.

Creating a New Collective Story
In these times of profound change, we are all co-authors of a new paradigm—a collective story woven from resilience, self-awareness, and heart-centered living. My journey is just one example of how embracing change can lead to a richer, more authentic life. Each of us has the power to break free from old paradigms and build a future defined by compassion, connection, and collective empowerment.
As we move forward, let’s stand together, anchored in our values and inspired by the possibility of transformation. Let’s remember that even in the darkest times, our hearts hold the key to a brighter, more connected future.
Thank you for reading and for being a part of this journey. I invite you to share your thoughts, your own experiences of transformation, and the steps you are taking to create a life that truly resonates with your heart. Together, we are crafting a new narrative—one of hope, resilience, and unwavering strength.
P.S
The heart is more than a physical organ; it’s the seat of our intuition, compassion, and inner wisdom. When external circumstances are out of control, returning to the heart provides a sense of stability and clarity. It reminds us that no matter how turbulent the environment, there exists an inner sanctuary where we can find peace and guidance.
Practical Ways to Anchor in the Heart
Heart-Focused Breathing: Take a few minutes each day to sit quietly, place your hand over your heart, and breathe slowly. Inhale deeply, feeling the expansion in your chest, and exhale fully, releasing tension and worry. This simple practice helps calm the nervous system and reinforces a sense of safety within.
Mindful Reflection: Set aside time to reflect on your values, dreams, and the reasons behind your choices. Journaling about your experiences—both the pain and the progress—can reveal patterns, insights, and the resilient spirit that lies within you.
Gratitude Practice: Even amidst hardship, there are moments of light and love. Acknowledge and celebrate these moments. Gratitude shifts your focus from what is lacking to what is abundant, nourishing your heart and your resilience.
Community Connection: Engage with others who share your values and vision. A supportive community reinforces that you are not alone. Collective energy and shared resilience can uplift you when individual strength feels insufficient.
